We'll look at Fleming Rutledge's The Seven Last Words from the Cross.
About the book: Rutledge links the sayings from the cross with contemporary events and concerns, but also incorporates recent biblical scholarship and modern questions about the death of Christ.
About the author: Fleming Rutledge is an American priest and author. Ordained to the diaconate in 1975, she was one of the first women to be ordained to the priesthood in the Episcopal Church. Rutledge is widely recognized in the United States, Canada, and the UK as a preacher and lecturer who trains other preachers.
The series starts on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, and runs six sessions (until April 1, 2026) at 6:30PM for 60-90mins. Registration is required for the Zoom link. Participants will receive the reading schedule after they register.
