DESCRIPTION:Anglican Deacons Canada Announces 2027 National Conference in O
ttawa “God’s Work in Our World” \nA national gathering celebrating t
he vocation\, ministry\, and witness of deacons across Canada.\nAnglican D
eacons Canada (ADC) invites deacons from across the Anglican Church of Can
ada to gather in Ottawa\, June 3–6\, 2027\, for the ADC 2027 National Co
nference at Saint Paul University.\nThe conference theme\, “God’s Work
in Our World\,” is inspired by Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things
through Christ who strengthens me.”\nHeld every three years\, the ADC N
ational Conference brings together deacons from across Canada for worship\
, fellowship\, learning\, and reflection on their shared vocation.\nIt is
an opportunity to renew relationships\, exchange experiences of ministry\,
and explore how deacons are called to participate in God’s work in the
world.\nRev. Deacon Nancy Glover\, ADC Vice President and Conference Co-ch
air\, understands firsthand the value of this opportunity to connect with
fellow deacons. “Vocational deacons often work in isolation. They can be
the only person doing this work within a very large geographical area. Th
is has been my personal experience. Having the rare opportunity to network
with other deacons\, learn and be encouraged provides me with renewed ene
rgy to do the ministry to which I am called.”\nGlover’s experience ref
lects one of the important purposes of the ADC 2027 National Conference: t
o create space for deacons to come together\, learn from one another\, bui
ld relationships\, and return to their ministries encouraged and renewed i
 n their calling.\nThe theme\, “God’s Work in Our World\,” speaks to
the distinctive calling of the diaconate: to embody the Church’s ministr
y of service and to help connect the life of the Church with the needs\, h
opes\, and challenges of the wider community. Rooted in Christ’s strengt
h and sustained by faith\, deacons are called to serve their neighbours\,
stand alongside those who experience vulnerability and exclusion\, and bea
r witness to God’s love through practical action and compassionate prese
nce.\nThe conference will provide space for deacons to reflect on this cal
ling\, learn from one another’s experiences\, and consider how their min
istries can respond faithfully and creatively to the needs of the world to
day. It will also celebrate the vital contribution deacons make to the lif
e and mission of the Anglican Church of Canada.\n“God’s Work in Our Wo
rld” is both a reminder and an invitation: a reminder that Christian min
istry is grounded in Christ\, and an invitation to discover anew how God w
orks through the gifts\, commitments\, and service of faithful people.\nOn
line registration is scheduled to open November 15\, 2026 . Deacons throug
hout the\nAnglican Church of Canada are encouraged to watch for registrati
on details and begin\nmaking plans to attend this national gathering.\nCon
